Tones of Vinyl ("we", "us", "our") operates the website tonesofvinyl.com and its associated tools including RigShot, VinylVsVinyl, and the Setup Wall. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name and email address when you create an account or sign up for our newsletter. When you use RigShot, photos you upload are stored securely. When you connect your Discogs account, we use that connection only to search and access your wantlist. We also collect basic usage data to understand how people use the site.
We use your information to operate and improve our services, send you the newsletter you signed up for, display your submitted setups on the Setup Wall (only if you opt in), and provide customer support. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
We use Clerk for authentication (including Google and Facebook login), Supabase for data storage, Beehiiv for our email newsletter, and Discogs for vinyl data. Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We use them solely to operate our services.
If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) from those services. We do not post to your social accounts or access your social connections.
Photos you upload via RigShot are stored securely and used only to generate your shareable rig link. If you submit a photo to the Setup Wall, it may be publicly displayed on tonesofvinyl.com/setups after moderation review. You can request removal at any time by contacting us.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you occasional emails about vinyl, our tools, and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
We use cookies for authentication and basic site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data.
